The metal
A dedicated server and a handful of VPSes, all Linux, all set up by hand. No control panel in the middle.
US East Coast · Since 2024
A dedicated server, a handful of VPSes and no sense of when to go to bed. We run our own Linux, mail and websites, and we write the game systems that run on top. None of it is for sale.
Who we are
We have spent years running Linux servers, home labs and hosting for friends, and we build whenever there is something worth building. We run every server, mailbox and website here, and write most of the code on them. In our spare time, for fun.
How we got herePart one
Most people rent a panel and click install. We used those too, then outgrew them. Now every box is set up by hand, and we know exactly what is on each one.

A dedicated server and a handful of VPSes, all Linux, all set up by hand. No control panel in the middle.

02
Our own mail server and webmail on our own domains, with mailboxes for us and for friends. Every site and web app we run lives on the same boxes.

03
GTA V roleplay, Project Zomboid and BeamMP. Before that, Minecraft and years of TeamSpeak.
Part two
On top of those servers sits a game world we wrote ourselves. Not bought, not reskinned. Here are four of the big ones.

01 · Flaming Radio
P25, DMR and FM, with talkgroups, zones, encryption and emergency buttons. Every transmission goes through a real vocoder on our servers, so it sounds like the real thing because it works like it. Speech recognition on our own hardware captions every word.

02 · Flaming Phone
Calls, texts, voicemail, a camera with its own video editor, music, a bank, maps and social apps, written from scratch. Our other scripts plug their own apps into it through an API we built for exactly that.

03 · Dispatch and CAD
San Andreas Dispatch runs calls, units and a live map in the browser. Officers get the same calls on an in-game MDT. 911 calls come in with their audio, and supervisors can play any of them back.

04 · Eight-Bit Arcade
A whole interior on the Vinewood strip, modelled by us: bowling, 8-ball pool, card tables and a wall of cabinets running games we wrote, from Five Star Getaway to Skyline Stacker. Step Fever, the dance machine, builds its charts from the song itself.
Also ours
ClipForge, a replay editor that lets you pick the camera after the fact. A minigames lobby. And a dozen in-game websites, from a news desk to a stock exchange.

Because then it is someone else's work and someone else's bugs. We would rather build it, know every line and fix it ourselves.
On the US East Coast, close to most of our players.
Unencrypted channels are. Anyone can listen live on ScannerVice and search the archive. Encrypted channels are never published.
No. Speech recognition and text-to-speech run on our own hardware, and we do not use your voice or text to train anything.
Email [email protected] with enough detail to reproduce it, and give us time to fix it. Our terms of service cover good-faith reports.
For the record
FlameNet Cloud is not a hosting company. We do not sell, rent or resell servers, game servers included, and nothing in our community is for sale. Everything here exists because we wanted to build it.
